Abstract
597,991. Saucepan handles. BAINBRIDGE, F, N. Aug. 27, 1945, No. 21949. [Class 66] Means for attaching a tubular handle 15 to a saucepan &c. 10 comprise a plug 12 having a screw-threaded core 13 and fitting into a blister 11 embossed in the saucepan wall, the core projecting through a hole 113 to receive a socket 14. A flanged insert 16 bolted at 151 on the handle screws on to the core 13 and fits partly inside the socket 14, the sides of which may be pressed into longitudinal grooves 161 in the insert 16. The handle-grip may be of synthetic resin, wood, metal or glass. According to the Provisional Specification a male spigot on the blister engages a tubular distance-piece.
