Abstract
<PICT:0597015/III/1> A bleaching agent for flour containing nitrogen peroxide is obtained by blowing air through an electric arc and mixing cold air with the mixture of hot air and gases coming from the arc. Air is fed from a compressor a to a nozzle b and through an arc formed between electrodes k, and a pipe f feeds air through a needle valve g to a jet nozzle h coaxial with a venturi outlet from the arcing chamber.
