Abstract

594,002. Tables; service wagons. CARWARDINE, G. Aug. 28, 1945, Nos. 22156 and 22384. [Class 52 (iii)] A service wagon comprises a table top 6 fixed between two uprights 4 and a swivelling tray or shelf 10 mounted to swing about each upright between a storage position below the top to a position of use clear of the top. A base tray 3 on castors 1 carries the two uprights 4 supporting the top 6, and sleeves 9 supported on pegs 12 carry the shelves 10 which can be swung through 180‹ to project from the ends of the wagon. Each pin 12 has two limbs 13, 14 passed through the holes 15 in the upright and secured by a nut 16 so that the height of the shelves can be adjusted. As shown a belt or chain 20 passes over pulleys 18 on the sleeves 10 so that the shelves move together. Grooves in the underside of the sleeves 9 engage the upper limb 13 of the pin to retain the shelves in any one of a number of positions.
