Abstract
593,848. Ships' hatches. WATERMAN STEAMSHIP CORPORATION. June 14, 1945, No. 15141. Convention date, Jan. 10. [Class 113 (i)] The hatch beam 8 is supported in its raised position on a roller 14 attached to it by toggle levers 24, 27. The toggle is tripped to lower the beam by the hand lever 37, the beam then seating between cleats 13. The rail 38 prevents the rollers skewing. Specification 517,859 is referred to.
