Abstract

593,784. Fusible cut-outs. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. June 27, 1945, No. 16355. Convention date, June 29, 1944. [Class 38 (i)] A cartridge-type fuse comprises a tube of insulating material interconnecting insulating end members into which terminals are moulded. In the form shown, blade contacts 1 drilled to receive one or two fuse wires 12 are moulded into insulating supports 2, 3 having pockets into which sleeves 6 of insulating material, preferably transparent, are sealed, these sleeves containing sand, quartz or other inert material. The interior surfaces of tubes 6 may be coated with changeable colour material. Specification 576,992 is referred to.
