Abstract

Soap containing a proportion of a rosin soap and in finely divided form contains also a small amount of a stabilizing compound selected from the group consisting of polyethylene polyamines of the formula H2N.C2H4.(HN.C2H4)x.NH2, "x" being a whole number, and mineral acid salts thereof. Spray dried and flake soap products are specified. Polyamines of "x" values of 1 to 3 are preferred viz. diethylene triamine, triethylene tetramine and tetraethylene pentamine, as well as commercial mixtures of these. The mineral acid salts of the polyamines may comprise the sulphates, chlorides and phosphates thereof. Specifications 291,041, [Class 91], and 562,856 are referred to.
