[Class 135] The valve closure member 17 of a cistern supply valve is actuated by a float-lever 29 having an extension 24 to which is connected the lower link 33 of a toggle joint, the upper link 35 of which is connected by a pivot 36 to the valve body 12 and which is formed with a trip-arm 38 With Which coacts the forked-end 41 of an auxiliary float-lever 42. During flushing of the cistern, the lever 29 falls, thus opening the valve and straightening the toggle links so that they abut against the stop 44, whilst during filling the lever 29 is maintained in its lower position until the water level raises the auxiliary lever 42 so as to move the trip arm to break the toggle joint and permit the rapid rising of the lever 29 and closure of the valve.
