Abstract
592,791. Drawing-boards. PAGE, P. E., and PAGE, S. E. July 18, 1945, No. 18370. [Class 11] A drawing-board a is constructed with a tongue d on its back surface which can be moved to project beyond the board as at d', in which position a paint box, pencils, intruments or other accessories may be temporarily attached as by elastic bands, g, h. The tongue is shown pivoted at e. A modification is described in which a tongue with bevelled edges slides in a dovetail slot on the back of the board. Strips b, c, of the same thickness as the tongue may be provided along two or more edges so that the board will be flat when used on a flat surface. Other means for attaching the box to the tongue may be used, such as a screw and butterfly nut, spring clips, lugs on the box or pieces of tape.
