[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, May 18, 1945.] [Class 97 (i)] A shutter control device comprises two concentric shafts 2, 4 carrying pinions 1, 3 with oppositely inclined helical teeth engaging respectively two sets of superimposed oppositely inclined helical teeth on an intermediate pinion 13. The shafts 2, 4 carry shutter blades 7, 8 and a relative rotation of the blades is produced by an axial movement of the pinion 19 on the shaft 15 produced by a rack and pinion device 17, 18. The shutter is driven through gearing 11, 12.
