591,936. Crop-sprayers. BROWN, J. C., CAREY, W. F., WEBBER, B., HENDRY, A. W., HOLMES, E., and IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INTDUSTRIES, Ltd. May 25. 1944, No. 25098/46. Divided out of 591,894. [Class 69 (iii)] A crop-spraying machine comprises a wheeled chassis carrying a tank 44 from which liquid is drawn by a pump, a portion of the liquid being supplied to spraying nozzles and the remainder being returned to the tank. In the form shown, liquid passes from the tank 44 to a centrifugal pump 3 which drives the liquid through a pipe 4 to a T-joint from which a part returns to the tank through a pipe 6 while the remainder passes via further pipes to horizontal distributing pipes 13 mounted within transverse booms 14 passing finally to spraying nozzles, carried by the booms, where it is entrained in a current of air supplied to the booms by a fan 16.
