Abstract
591,868. Dressing cases. POWELL, F. Nov. 23, 1944, No. 23286. [Class 18] A dressing case comprises a liner 10, formed of moulded material with parallel sides and with vertical grooves 11, ribs or slots receive removable partitions 12, and a leather or like cover 15 provided with a hinged lid 16 and a slide fastener 19. The lower end of the liner may be closed or open. Where slots are provided they extend completely through the thickness of the material and from the upper or lower edge of the liner through part of the depth, the partitions being shouldered to engage the closed ends of the slots. A separate closure member for the lower end of the liner may be secured in position after the partitions have been inserted from below. Removable solid or hollow blocks may be inserted in the bottom or side of a compartment to reduce the capacity. The lid may be connected to the cover by a leather or other flexible strip 17 and provided with a stiffener 18.
