590,669. Phonograph pick-ups. HAWKE, K. N., and PYE, Ltd. Feb. 24, 1945, No. 4695. [Class 40 (iv)] [Also in Group XXXVIII] In a gramophone pick-up of balanced-armature type, the armature 11 consists of two T-shaped pieces of flexible magnetic material, formed and riveted together at the vertical part 16 to form a holder for a stylus 18. The armature 11 is mounted between blocks 7, 8 of non-magnetic material, members of non- magnetic material passing through the said blocks 7, 8 and armature 11, and having screws 12a, 13a in each end to hold the entire assembly, including the magnet 14 and polepieces 1, 2 together.
