Abstract
590,297. Seat backs. WILMOT-BREEDEN, Ltd., and SPICER, H. J. April 17, 1945, No: 9602. [Class 52 (ii)] A back rest frame comprises two side members a and an upper transverse member b of metal strip of channel cross section, and having their adjacent ends united by welding or otherwise. The abutting ends may be stepped or an internal channel c provided. The lower ends of side members a are stepped to rest on and overthe outer sides of the seat cushion frame d and these ends are secured to the seat cushion frame by gusset plates e. Springs f and g may support the back and seat.
