590,263. Constructional sets. BASHALL, B. April 16, 1945, No. 9445. [Class 132 (iii)] [Also in Group XXV] A constructional set comprises clips for connecting together the constituent members, the said clips comprising a plurality of splitsleeve clips each provided with frictional locking means in order to be locked on to a member and each having a plurality of socket like projections, and a plurality of split-sleeve clips each provided with frictional locking means in order to be locked on to another member and each having a plurality of projecting tongues which are adapted to engage with the sockets of the first-mentioned clips. The clips are preferably made of sheet metal and lock by means of a tapered slide running in two grooves on the clip. Fig. 1 shows the two types of clips mounted on wooden supports 5, 7, 7<1>. The clip 1 is provided with a series of socket-like projections 2 arranged in pairs, into which the tongues 10 and 10' of the other clips 6 and 6<1> fit. These socket-like projections have closed bottoms acting as stops. The ends of the clip 1 are turned to form grooves 3 which engage with the tapered slide 4, thus locking the clip 1 on to its support 5. Similar slides 8 and 8<1> are provided to slide in the grooves 9 and 9<1> on the clips 6 and 6<1>.
