[Class 40 (i)] [Also in Group XXXVII] In a liquid level gauge of the type in which the movements of a float are communicated to an external signalling system by magnetic means, the magnetic means actuate a tiltable disc controlling the signalling circuits. As shown, movements of a float 1 cause a shaft 5 carrying a gapped ring magnet 7 to rotate. Disc 10 is tilted by the attraction of magnet 7 and closes one of contacts 11, the particular one depending on the position of magnet 7, so that the corresponding indicating lamp is lit.
