Abstract
A mouldable pyrotechnic composition adapted to be moulded for instance into incendiary bomb components which are to be machined, comprises a plastics moulding powder of synthetic resin, cellulose esters and ethers &c. in which is incorporated comminuted magnesium or alloy containing a substantial proportion of magnesium. The plastics powder may be of the thermoplastic or thermo-hardening type. A maximum of 80 per cent magnesium is used. A magnesium aluminium alloy may be used. Aluminium iron or cerium may be added separately or as an alloy with the magnesium, also metallic oxides or salts as oxygen providers or for colouring the flame.
