Abstract

<PICT:0588297/III/1> <PICT:0588297/III/2> Apparatus for discharging solid adsorption material from an adsorber having one or more discharge openings includes a rotatable discharge drum 4, 5, 6 covering each opening 3 and passages whereby the medium to be treated can be introduced into the adsorption space through the discharge openings. The passages may be provided by clearances between the discharge drums and perforated partitions 8, 9, or as shown in Fig. 3 by forming the discharge drums 17 with partitions 22 having perforations smaller than the grains of adsorptive material. In the latter case the drums are situated in guide tubes 18, and the partitions between the drums may have adjustable openings 25. In a modification, Fig. 5 (not shown), the drums are arranged at different levels, and the partitions, instead of being V-shaped, are formed by inclined plates.
