Abstract
In a separator for removing magnetic particles from a liquid, such as that described in Specification 603,083, and comprising a magnetic drum revolving in a trough-like casing through which the liquid flows contrary to the direction of rotation of the drum, baffles are provided in the space between the drum and the trough to produce a mixing action in the liquid which increases the effectiveness of the separator.
