Abstract
586,057. Soles and heels for footwear. SLATER, S. Sept. 4, 1944, No. 16781. [Classes 17 (ii) and 17 (iii)] Soles and heels are detachably secured by dipping to a plate 4 of thin spring or resilient material fastened to the inner sole 5. A spacing member 8 may be set behind the plate 4 to form recesses for retaining a projecting lip 2 on the sole. The edge of the plate 4 may be reinforced or thickened by bending it over a wire. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 10541/00, [Class 17], 9528/09, [Class 17 (iii)], and 330,402, [Class 17(ii)].
