Abstract

585,131. Toys. SMITH, C. C. Feb. 8, 1945, No. 3167. [Class 132 (iii)] A toy gun comprises a barrel 2 with a piston 3 mounted on a rod 4 which terminates in a knob 6. Between the piston and the end of the breech block is a compression spring 7. According to the invention, the trigger member 8 is pivoted on the rear face of the breech block at a point 11 below the plunger rod to move in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the plunger. One of the arms 9 has a notch 12 which when the knob 6 is withdrawn engages a notch 13 in the rod 4. The other arm 10 is provided with a weight 14 which tends to keep the arm 9 in the engaged position.
