Abstract

584,509. Manure distributers. BAMFORD, C. J., and BAMFORD, H. V. June 20, 1944, No. 11701. [Class 6 (i)] A fertilizer distributer of the type in which the moving parts are driven by gearing embodying a clutch has a system of levers so that the clutch may be operated from the tractor seat by a hand lever situated on the drawbar. The clutch lever 12 has connected to its upper end 11 a link 14 attached to a bell-crank lever 15 fixed to the hopper 10. A link 19 from this bell crank lever is attached to a second bell crank lever 20 attached to a bracket 22. A link 26 is then attached to the hand lever 27 from the second bell crank lever. A pin 31 with a hole 30 in the bracket 28 serves to fix the lever in position for the engagement of the clutch. The lever is pulled sideways and forwards against a spring 32 to disengage the clutch.
