Abstract

584,474. Bobbins. MUIRHEAD & CO., Ltd., and LISTER, W. C. Nov. 17, 1944, No. 22855. [Class 120 (iii)] A bobbin for electric coils comprises a tube of insulating material with end cheeks slid thereon, the said cheeks being positioned by distance pieces secured to the tube, and tie rods lying in grooves within the distance pieces. The distance pieces 4 may be cemented to two opposite sides of a square tube 1, each being formed in two pieces leaving channels 5 for tie rods 6 which secure the rectangular end cheeks 2. The distance pieces may be radiussed externally, and all components may be cemented in place.
