[Class 6 (i)] The draw-bar of a tractordrawn, one-way plough which can swing across from side to side of the tractor is provided with a joint at an intermediate point in its length so that the plough and the rear portion of the drawbar may be lifted, using this joint as a pivot, by a lifting member carried on the tractor, the said lifting member being also capable of swinging from side to side. In the form shown, the plough is provided with a pair of land-wheels 26 and is coupled to a tractor by means of a draught-bar comprising two parts 15, 16 joined by a horizontal hinge 17. The rear portion 15 of the draught-bar is pivotally attached to a coupling frame 27 which permits relative lateral movement between tractor and plough. The beam 21 which carries the shares (not shown) is rotatable about bearings 20 and 22 in the main frame 23, 24, and is slightly cranked near its forward end so that the land wheels are out of alignment with the line of travel and the plough will tend during motion to be drawn to one side of the tractor. The main frame 23 is attached by a chain 30 to a jib 31 carried on the tractor chassis. This jib is actuated by gearing 33, 35 and 41, 42 and can be swung from side to side within the confines of a framework 32. With the jib raised, the interchanging of the plough shares may be effected by the rotation of a handle 48, the beam being locked in position by a spring- loaded plunger 49 engaging with holes in stationary blocks 51. The depth of ploughing can be adjusted by rotation of a wheel 60 which alters the inclination to the ground of a link 25 and thus raises or lowers the beam 21. The means for raising and rotating the plough beam and for adjusting the depth of ploughing are readily accessible to the tractor driver.
