582,920. Supply systems for vehicle lamps. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Oct. 4, 1944, No. 19042. Convention date, Oct. 6, 1943. [Class 38 (iv)] [Also in Group XXXVIII] A warning device for indicating failure to switch on vehicle lights comprises a high resistance indicator connected between a controlled contact of the ignition or other electrical powercontrolling switch, and the driving lights. As shown, the indicator comprises a low-wattage lamp I, mounted to shine through or upon a glass element J on the dashboard of a motor vehicle, and illuminated when the ignition switch S, but not the light switch L, is closed, the circuit being from the battery B, ammeter, &c. X, switch element 15, contact 18, lamp I and lead 21, thence through the driving light filaments (which the current flow is insufficient to illuminate) back to the battery. Upon closure of the light switch L, the indicator is shunted by the lead 10.
