581,588. Luminescent materials. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Aug. 8, 1944, No. 15066. Convention date, Aug. 12, 1943. [Class 39 (i)] A luminescent material comprises a strontium aluminate matrix activated with manganese. It is prepared by heating at a temperature of 1100‹ C. ingredients comprising SrO and Al2O3, along with an ingredient comprising manganese in the proportion of .001 per cent to .11 per cent of the residual product.
