577,302. Luminescent materials. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Aug. 29, 1944, No. 16366. Convention date, Aug. 30, 1943. [Class 39 (i)] Luminescent material comprises calcium molybdate calcined into a complex with a cadmium compound, preferably a molybdate also, and activated by a metal of the group comprising lead and samarium. The calcining may occur at a temperature between 800‹ C. and 1100‹ C. and in the presence of a flux.
