Abstract

580,872. Burner supports. MAIN, Ltd., R. & A., ADAM, A. J., and FRANCIS, S. E. Feb. 1, 1945, No. 2548. [Class 75 (i)] A support for a gas burner for use in a hotplate or cooker comprises a supporting member formed separately from the burner and hotplate or cooker frame, and arranged at one end detachably to engage a socket 16 on the cooker, and at the other end to support the burner 12. The supporting member which is preferably made of a rod of deformable material, such as mild steel, may have its ends welded at 18, Fig- 2, to form a crossbar 19, bearing against the back face above the slot, while an inflexion 13, Fig. 1, is provided which bears against the front face below the slot. The burner head may have a channel 20 arranged to rest on the forward crossbar 11 of the support.
