[Class 100 (ii)] [Also in Groups XX, XXII and XXIV] A universally mounted bar 5 having a stylus 12 at its upper end and a marking point 8 or a cutter at its lower end is positioned vertically above a work-holding table 1, the upper end 9 of the bar being cranked to bring the stylus over the upper table 10 holding the original to be copied. The bar 5 moves in a pair of trunnioned slotted guides 20, 21, the heights of which can be independently adjusted on their supporting pillars 22. The pillars themselves may be carried on two relatively rotating rings 25 so that the horizontal angle between the slotted guides may be varied to alter the nature of the distortion produced. The circular table 1 is rotatably mounted on a carrier adapted to slide in two directions at right angles. The holder for the original 11 is mounted in slides on the table 10.
