578,066. Drawing- dies. KRYSZEK, S., HARD ALLOYS, Ltd., and CALEDONIAN METAL CO., Ltd. June 20, 1944, No. 11712. [Class 83 (iv)] Drawing-dies for bars or tubes have two or more coaxially disposed conical sections or zones B, C, adjoining zones being of different angularity. The first zone B preferably has maximum angularity, this decreasing towards the cylindrical zone D that is followed by a conical clearance zone E. The mouth A of the die may be conical or curved. The widths of the zones may vary as also the reduction effected by each zone. The dies may be of tungsten carbide or may incorporate nibs of this material.
