[Class 38 (i)] [Also in Group XXXVII] A cartridge &c. fuse f is carried in a sector-shaped block e pivoted at g so that the fuse can be inserted in a recess h in the block when in the position shown in dotted lines, and when the block is turned into the casing a the fuse is brought into engagement with the live contacts b. The block closes the casing and so protects the live contacts in both positions. The lower contact is resilient and holds the fuse against a tongue b<4> pressed out from the upper contact. When the block is turned outwards, stops i limit its movement, and the cavity h is downwardly inclined. An intermediate position may also be defined by a stop so that the device may be used as a switch.
