Abstract
A method of making a yeast preparation comprises propagating the yeast, incorporating living lactic acid bacteria and then treating to induce substantially maximum spore formation. The order of the last two steps may be reversed. In an example a sterile nutrient solution is inoculated with a yeast culture and after sufficient fermentation has occurred a lactic acid bacteria culture is added. The yeast is separated, compressed and spread in thin layers and exposed to sterilized oxygen at 30-40 DEG C. at controlled humidity for 3-6 days after which the mass can be vacuum dried and pulverized.
