576,403. Windshield stays. WORCESTER WINDSHIELDS & CASEMENTS, Ltd., and JONES, A. E. E. July 27, 1944, No. 14320. [Class 65 (i)] A stay 4 is pivoted at 8 to a fixed bracket 2a and has a pin 15 which slides in a slot 16 when a windshield 5 is opened. A slot 9 is provided in the outer of two plates 1, bent over at 3, and a clamping screw 10, which is secured to the stay, has a wing-nut 11 to fix the stay in the required position of the windshield. The nut has a coned bottom which engages a recess 12. Instead of a front plate 1, a curved arm, containing the holes 12, is attached to the back-plate. A slot 13 is provided for assembly purposes.
