Abstract
576,017. Supporting conductors. BRITISH INSULATED CABLES, Ltd., LONDON PASSENGER TRANSPORT BOARD, HOLLAND, J., and BROOM, T. C. Oct. 7, 1944, No. 19262. [Class 36] A fitting, for an overhead electric traction system, carried by a span wire, is levelled by a vertically adjustable eye secured to the span wire and carried by a vertical pillar clamped to the support eye of the fitting. A crossing 4 has a support eye 3 to which a pillar 5 is clamped by members 1, 2. In one form, Fig. 1, the pillar carries a sleeve 8 with an adjustable collar 9 having an eye extension 11. In another form, Fig. 3, the members 1, 2 carry arms 21, 22 which support a second pillar 25 on which is secured an adjustable collar which may be secured above or below the crossing.
