572,600. Boring-heads and bars. HOLDSWORTH, H., and GLOVER, W. E. March 3, 1943, No. 3467. [Class 83 (iii)] A boring-head, that may be used on a boring- bar, is provided with spaced grooves in which are adjustably mounted two steady rollers 4 and one cutter 3. A phosphor-bronze brush 14 that may carry a felt pad is located between the cutter and the first roller to remove cuttings. The rollers are mounted in blocks 6 on headed pins 10 provided with phosphor-bronze washers 11 ; they are adjusted by screws 7 and clamped by screws 9. The cutter, after adjustment, is clamped at 13.
