Abstract

572,274. Spray carburetters. DAVENPORT, H. C., and AMAL, Ltd. Dec. 17, 1943, No. 21175. [Class 7 (iii)] To ensure easy start ing, the air supply tc the idling and transitior nozzles is cut off by a valve such as a rotary disc 9 having passages 11, 12 which can be brought into and out of register with air passages 5, 7 leading to the nozzles. A small adjustable ancillary air inlet 18a may also be provided in. the valve and function when the passages 11, 12 are closed. A push-pull or rotary sleeve valve may replace the disc valve 9.
