Abstract

571,924. Electric radiators. PREMIER ELECTRIC HEATERS, Ltd., and TAYLOR, H. T. Oct. 15, 1943, No. 16924. [Classes 39 (iii) and 126] An electric radiator comprises two end members 10 connected by a trough reflector 11 of parabolic section with a heating element 13, and an arrangement of pivoted louvres 17 for directing the radiation. Two side members 14 are pivoted on the upper connecting bolt 12 and releasably secured to the lower bolt 12. Louvres 17 are pivoted at 16 to the members 14, and at 18 to bars 19. The lowest louvre rests by gravity on a pivoted eccentric which is adjustable by a knob 24 to adjust the angle of the louvres. In a modification, the louvres may be spring loaded so that one of them bears upon the eccentric. The arrangement is applicable also to gas fires or solid fuel fires.
