Abstract
563,095. Electric radiators. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and PENWARDEN, E. H. April 16, 1943, Nos. 6110/43 and 3369/44. [Class 39 (iii)] Cylindrical heaters 1, 2 of small radial dimensions are each associated with a reflector made up of parts such as 4, 5 of parabolas having a common focus at 6 and axes 7, 8 making an obtuse angle with one another (120 degrees) and an angle of 30 degrees with the face 9 of the. radiator. The beater 1 is in or in front of the plane of the month of the reflector. Wing reflectors 16, 17 are provided, each being part of a parabola such as P16 having an axis 18 and a focus at the heater. The wing reflectors may be hinged at their junctions with the other reflectors. The reflector is adapted to distribute the radiation over a considerable angular range in one plane.
