Abstract

562,703. Electric radiators. TAYLOR, C. B. Jan. 8, 1943, No. 367. [Class 39 (iii)] An electric radiator which emits radiation at different temperatures comprises two resistance elements a, a<1> connected to a four-contact switch b as indicated, which enables the two elements to be connected in parallel for maximum heat, one element only to obtain less heat, or the two elements in series for infra-red heat. In Fig. 5 (not shown) a similar result is obtained by using two one-way switches and one twoway switch, and in Fig. 6 (not shown) two oneway switches are used to employ one element only, or both elements in series.
