[Class 19] A mop squeezer comprising a hollow perforated vessel in the shape of a bowl, cone, trough with open or closed ends, or other form has hooks and a crossbar rigidly associated with its rim by which it may be suspended mouth upward from the rim of a pail or the like, one end at least of the cross-bar which extends diametrically across the pai being bifurcated to engage a lug on the pail. The hooks may be spring hooks which grip the rim of the container. In one form suitable for use with a pail, the squeezer 11 is of bowl shape and the rim is formed by a single piece of wire bent to form rigid hooks 12 by which the squeezer may be suspended inside a pail 14. A cross-bar 16 extends diametrically across the pail and has at least one end bifurcated at 17 to extend around one of the ears 18 by which the handle 19 is attached to the pail and thus prevent relative movement between squeezer and pail during turning and squeezing of the mop. The ends of the cross-bar may also be bent down as at 17, 20 to engage the pail rim 15. Alternatively, one end of the cross-bar may be passed through a ring or hook secured-to a handle-lug 18 and the bar may be of sufficient length to enable the device to be applied to a pail of any size. The squeezer 11 may have reinforcing straps around its upper edge and on its sides. In an alternative form for use with a pail and broom-shaped mops, the squeezer is of trough form with one cross-bar of the rim extending diametrically of the pail and the sides of the rim extended to hook over the top edge of a pail.
