Abstract
569,118. Optical systems. SCOPHONY, Ltd., and ADAMS, A. E. Oct. 15, 1943, No. 16994. [Class 97 (i)] A beam-splitting device of the type comprising a semi-reflective layer 6 at the interface of two prisms 2, 4 forming a cube is provided with reflecting means, such as a coating on the prism surface 11, which returns the beam reflected from the layer 6 back through the layer to form an emergent beam 12, which beam is not reversed in relation to the. other emergent beam 7 formed by direct passage of the incident beam 1 through the layer 6. The reflecting layer 6 may be formed as described in Specification 568,981.
