[Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iii)] Copying lathes for turning irregular curved surfaces either internally or externally, and particularly those for making turbine blades as described in Specification 567,744, have the cams driven relatively to the tool or. work axis that carries them in order that an extended portion of the cam surface may be available for producing the profiling &c. movements required and abrupt surfaces difficult for the follower to negotiate are avoided.
