Abstract

567,485. Condensers. TOBE DEUTSCH. MANN CORPORATION. Nov. 3, 1943, No. 18250. Convention date, May 18, 1943. [Class 37] A condenser used in a wave-filter has offset foils 4, 5 connected each at their exposed ends to a metallic washer or layer of solder 8, 10, at least one end being close to and directly connected to a hollow stud 18 bearing a pair of lugs 24, 25, whereby the condenser may be joined in a high frequency circuit with the shortest possible lead 20, to reduce inductance. One pole of the condenser is connected to the casing 1 which is earthed by an attached bracket. In modifications, two such condensers are joined end to end or side by side in a casing, and also a single condenser has the metallised ends 'of each foil connected to a hollow stud with two lugs as 24, 25 at the two ends of the casing.
