Abstract

567,425. Roofs. JEPSON, N. C. March 6, 1943, No. 3676. [Class 20 (iv)] Relates to means for supporting tiles or slates on roofs of the kind in which a corrugated roofing sheet, having the corrugations running in the direction from the eaves to the ridge, is provided on its upper surface with horizontallydirected ribs or battens for supporting the tiles. According to the invention, each roofing sheet is moulded of a composition of comminuted wood with a suitable binder such as a synthetic resin, with a reinforcement of expanded metal between the upper and lower layers of the sheet, and the ribs or battens which are of the same composition are moulded integrally with the upper layer.
