[Class 33] [Also in Group X] A building slab is formed of Portland cement concrete, asbestos-cement, woodwool and cement, cork with cement, burnt clay with cement &c., or partly of cork concrete and partly ordinary concrete with a metal lathing, wire netting, pre-stressed wire or the like reinforcement in the centre and left bare at the edges and in alignment with the slab for fixing to the studs of the framework of the building spaced to correspond with the width of the slabs, the bare reinforcement edges overlying each other forming a double strip of reinforcement which can be filled in with concrete to make the covering continuous. Fig. 2 shows a slab with the concrete cast on the reinforcement in four spaced sections which may be folded to form a square casing to surround a girder, beam, square-shaped stanchion, &c., and Fig. 4 shows a duct, or the like pipe, formed by bending up a slab cast in three spaced sections.
