[Class 1 (i)] A means for detecting hydrofluoric acid vapour in the atmosphere consists of an absorbent body such as filter paper or sintered glass plates impregnated with a mixture of two solutions, namely, zirconium nitrate in water and sodium alizarin sulphonate in ethyl alcohol.
