[Class 79 (i)] [Also in Group XXXII] In a tractor of the kind having a front bumper spaced well ahead of the tractor front and having a weight between the bumper and the tractor front to counteract any tendency of the tractor to tip, the weight b is secured directly both to the bumper a and to the front of the tractor and serves also to stiffen the bumper. In the construction shown, the weight b is a sector-shaped casting and its rear end is secured to the tractor frame. The bumper a is further supported by a grid formed by bars d secured to the bumper and at their upper ends to a band e secured to the radiator f. Lamp brackets g may be provided on the band e. When the invention is applied to a standard form of tractor the usual front axle may be replaced by a wider one to give increased stability.
