A composition for coating bandages comprises plaster of Paris with a prolamine which is soluble in organic solvents, slightly soluble or dispersible in water, and used in non-aqueous solution. An example specifies 2 3/4 lbs. of mazein in alcohol and 130 lbs. of plaster. Specification 510,273, [Group VI], is referred to.ALSO:A composition for coating bandages comprises plaster of Paris with a prolamine which is soluble in organic solvents, slightly soluble or dispersible in water, and used in non-aqueous solution. An example specifies 23/4 lbs. of mayein in alcohol and 130 lbs. of plaster. Specification 510,273 is referred to.
