561,388. Weighing-apparatus. LEECH, H. C., and HENSHAW, T. A. Dec. 25, 1942, No. 18379. [Class 143] A weighing device comprises a liquid container a and a float b<1> formed with an outer member b slidable over the liquid container, the weight of the commodity (placed on the pan c) being indicated by the relative movement between the float and the liquid container. As shown, a pointer d on the liquid container indicates against an adjustable scale e on the outer member b. Alternatively, the outer member b may be transparent and the scale or pointer be visible through it. The float may be guided by vertical ribs.
