Abstract

An adhesive comprises a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile, a substantial proportion, e.g. an equal weight, of chlorinated rubber or a vinyl resin, and an organic solvent. The vinyl resin may be polyvinyl chloride or a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate. The adhesive composition may contain a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile, chlorinated rubber, hydrogenated rosin ester, floated silica, zinc oxide, sulphur, stearic acid, toluol, and methyl ethyl ketone; another composition contains a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile a copolymer of vinyl acetate and vinyl chloride, floated silica, zinc oxide, sulphur, stearic acid, and methyl ethyl ketone.ALSO:An adhesive comprises a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile, a substantial proportion, e.g. an equal weight, of chlorinated rubber or a vinyl resin, and an organic solvent. The vinyl resin may be polyvinyl chloride or a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate. The adhesive composition may contain a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile, chlorinated rubber, hydrogenated rosin ester, floated silica, zinc oxide, sulphur, stearic acid, toluol, and methyl ethyl ketone; another composition contains a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile a copolymer of vinyl acetate and vinyl chloride, floated silica, zinc oxide, sulphur, stearic acid, and methyl ethyl ketone.
