Abstract

553,889. Bolting. LANGMAID, C. T. May 8, 1942, No. 6254. [Class 89 (i)] Clinch-on nuts are secured in a clip 11 having lugs 17 to pass over an edge of the part 20 to which the nut is to be attached and a lug 16, formed of material left when the hole for the nut was punched, that passes through the aperture 18 in the part 20 and is bent over as shown in Fig. 5. In a modification one lug 17 centrally placed is employed and in a further modification two lugs 17 are employed in combination with two lugs 16.
